Fortune's Weave Between-Match Preparation Guide

Plan Fortune's Weave free time with Dagsion facilities, renown, quests, map travel, auto-activities, resources, and route switching.

Fortune's Weave between-match preparation is a time-management loop: use Dagsion to train, recruit, shop, complete optional quests, and unlock facilities through renown, then spend world-map time carefully before the next Heroic Games match. Inns can also run auto-activities for money, experience, and resources when you want efficient progress without manually spending every action.

What to do in Dagsion

Nintendo's post-launch tips identify several useful preparation priorities:

ActivityWhy it matters
Recruit alliesPowerful warriors can be found around Dagsion. Gifts or a meal may persuade some characters.
Complete townsfolk questsOptional quests improve renown and can make time in the city more valuable.
Build renownHigher renown unlocks more facilities around Dagsion.
Shop and prepareDagsion handles core preparation, while some items are found outside the city.
Swap pathsVisit the Pale Raven's perch between matches to guide another hero.
Use the innAssign auto-activities for money, experience, and other resources.

For a full facility checklist, use the Dagsion city guide. For route planning, see the path switching guide.

Renown and optional quests

Renown is not just a cosmetic progress number. Nintendo says it increases when you win Heroic Games matches and when you complete side quests from townsfolk. As renown grows, more Dagsion facilities become available.

Use this loop after each match:

  1. Check which facilities have opened.
  2. Speak with townsfolk who have optional quests.
  3. Complete the quest that matches your current route and preparation needs.
  4. Return to Dagsion and review recruitment, training, shops, and certification.
  5. Keep a note of which facility or system was unlocked by the latest renown increase.

The exact renown thresholds are not listed in the official article, so do not publish a numeric unlock table without an in-game source.

Travel, towns, and map time

The continent of Dagda has more than the capital. Nintendo recommends visiting towns to buy items unavailable in Dagsion and talking with locals for information that can lead to unexpected discoveries. Explorable areas can also contain materials and weapons.

Map movement has a cost: time advances whenever you move across the map. Before leaving the city, decide whether the trip is worth the turns available before the next match. Use the world map guide and dungeon guide when planning a longer expedition.

Auto-activities at the inn

At the inn, units can perform activities automatically during the time between matches. Nintendo says the activities run for a set number of turns and can provide money, experience, and other resources.

Auto-activities are most useful when:

  • you want efficient progress before the next match;
  • you have limited time to play;
  • your next objective needs more gold, experience, or general resources;
  • there is no urgent town quest or recruitment conversation to handle manually.

They should not replace checking Dagsion first. Review new facilities, quests, recruits, and path-switching options before committing turns to an automatic activity.
